Learning That Sticks
Young Americans LLC brings interactive, standards-aligned STEM programming directly into elementary school classrooms. Every session is designed to spark curiosity, build problem-solving skills, and give students a hands-on experience they'll talk about long after the day is done.
Our programs are led by Kathleen Pickard, a retired classroom teacher with 32 years of experience and an Ozobot Certified Educator credential. Every activity is age-appropriate, educator-designed, and ready to plug into your school day.
Program Offerings
What We Bring to Your School
K–5
Robotics with Ozobot
Full school day
Students are introduced to Ozobot — a small, color-sensing robot that responds to drawn codes. Through guided activities, students learn the basics of programming logic, sequencing, and cause-and-effect in a tangible, playful way.
- No prior coding experience required
- Works with paper, markers, and iPads
- Ozobot Certified Educator instruction
- Aligned to NGSS and ISTE standards
K–5
STEM Exploration Day
Full school day
A full day of rotating STEM stations where students experiment, build, and discover. Activities are tailored to grade level and designed to complement existing classroom curriculum while introducing engineering design thinking.
- Multiple hands-on activity stations
- Encourages teamwork and collaboration
- Adaptable to K–2 or 3–5 grade bands

Coding Fundamentals
Half or full day
An introduction to computational thinking and block-based coding. Students work through guided challenges that build logical reasoning and creative problem-solving — no devices required for the foundational sessions.

Arrival & Setup
Kathleen arrives early to set up materials and coordinate with your staff so the day runs smoothly from the first bell.
Classroom Sessions
Each class receives a dedicated session — typically 45–60 minutes — filled with guided instruction and hands-on activities.
Student Discovery
Students build, experiment, and problem-solve. Every activity is designed to be accessible and exciting for all learners.
Wrap-Up & Reflection
Sessions close with a brief reflection to reinforce learning and leave students with something to think about.
